Three counties, Leavenworth, Jackson and Platte, have shown an increase from 2017 while the other 5 counties in the reporting area experienced a decrease.  Basehor, in Leavenworth county, has issued 53 more permits during 2018.  Jackson County’s increase is from a high level of activity in Blue Springs which offset decreases in Lee’s Summit and Oak Grove.  Platte County’s permitting increase stems from activity in Kansas City and Parkville.
