Start building relationships and learning from your peers immediately by attending a committee and/or council meeting. Contact the KCHBA staff liaison to learn more and join one of these councils/committees.
ARTISAN LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Artisan Home Tour showcases Kansas City’s finest custom home builders and the impeccable qualities of their one-of-a-kind homes. This committee is responsible for providing comprehensive oversight of the tour, including approving entrance standards and advising staff on tour regulations.

ASSOCIATES COUNCIL
The Associate Council plans several events throughout the year that provide the opportunity to build relationships with builder members, including our golf tournament in June and the clay shoot in October.
BUILDERS COUNCIL
The Builders Council provides an opportunity for builder members to learn best practices and exchange ideas to meet the housing needs of the Kansas City metro.
DEVELOPERS COUNCIL
This group of KCHBA members meet regularly to discuss all things related to bringing raw land to finished lots. This all activities such as coding, zoning development, infrastructure and land use.
FOUNDATION COMMITTEE
A strong, livable neighborhood should be available to all in our society. That is why the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA) established the Home Builders Charitable Foundation in 2002 as the charitable arm of the KCHBA. This committee focuses on fundraising and supporting 501(c)3 organizations in and around Kansas City.
HBA-PAC TRUSTEES
The KCHBA’s Political Action Committee, HBA PAC, enables members to strengthen their civic involvement by helping to elect pro-housing candidates at the local and state level.

PARADE COMMITTEE
The Parade Committee produces the KCHBA’s Spring and Fall Parade of Homes — the second largest Parade of Homes in the nation.

PROFESSIONAL WOMEN IN BUILDING COUNCIL
Kansas City Professional Women in Building Council (KCPWB) is the voice of women in residential construction, committed to an inclusive, supportive environment for women. KCPWB provides educational opportunities and networking events to assist members in building their skills and their professional networks.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The KCHBA has developed a Workforce Development Committee to assist with efforts to alleviate the labor shortage in the residential construction industry. The group has implemented a multi-pronged approach to promote careers in home building not only to students but anyone looking to make a career change or enhance their skill set.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE
The mission of the KCHBA’s Young Professionals Committee is to facilitate opportunities for career-minded individuals to connect, develop and engage through activities that support their advancement as the future leaders of the home-building industry.
