Fox4 Interview Ruder on KCHBA’s KCMO Proposal

Fox4 KCHBA New Path Proposal 4.2024“The end result that we’ve gotten with the code having been adopted in the way that it was and our efforts to comply with it is a historic reduction in new housing starts in Kansas City, Missouri,” KCHBA Executive Vice President Will Ruder told Fox4’s reporter Jonathan Ketz in an interview earlier this week.

Ruder was referring to the industry’s efforts to comply with KCMO’s adoption of the 2021 energy code. The article, “Home builders lobby for new Kansas City energy policy,” mentions how Ruder met with City Councilwoman Andrea Bough this week to discuss the KCHBA’s proposal.
