Graham Power with CSW (Canaan Stone Works) is your 2023 YP committee chair. “I’ve been immersed in the world of construction from a young age, and it’s a passion I’ve consistently pursued throughout my various career endeavors. I have a genuine appreciation for every aspect of the construction process and thrive on absorbing new techniques and design trends. Within the countertop industry, I find that I can engage with a wide array of trades, gaining insights into how all the puzzle pieces come together to complete a project. I feel truly fortunate to be part of a fantastic company, and I eagerly anticipate a lifelong commitment to working within the construction industry.”

John Rau with Century Homes, Inc. is your 2023 Young Professionals co-chair. John started his career in the title insurance business before getting into building and remodeling homes. He received a degree from the University of Kansas in Business Management and Leadership, and has worked with Century Homes ever since. In his free time he enjoys breweries, golf and spending time with friends and family around the pool.
Maddy Maas is an accomplished lead designer, dedicating the past five years to shaping remarkable spaces at Mission Kitchen & Bath. Her journey began with a passion for interior design and her ability to transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments soon became her trademark. Maddy’s profound understanding of design principles and her innate talent have made her an indispensable asset to her team. In 2022, she solidified her expertise by achieving certification as a Certified Project Manager (CRPM). With a combination of passion, experience, and professional certification, Maddy continues to leave her mark on the world of interior design.
Kevin Jones is the proud owner of Jones & Co Design, providing the Kansas City area with lighting and technology solutions for unique personal experiences in the home/office. Kevin’s background in Mechanical Engineering from KU has given him a broad set of life experiences but is glad to be back in the homebuilding industry. He spends his free time with his wife Joleen and two boys Jack & Max along with watching sports and going on adventures with his friends.
Amanda Davis with The Gresham Group – ReeceNichols is a proud Kansas City native with a deep love and understanding of the city’s diverse neighborhoods. Named one of Kansas City Real Producers’ 40 under 40, her local expertise is unmatched. Building strong trusted relationships, Amanda is committed to serving her clients to the best of her ability and helping with their real estate goals. Whether you’re after local tips or neighborhood insights she’s your girl! In her free time, she stays involved in community events, travel and quality time with friends and family. Real estate is her passion and helping clients achieve their dreams is her mission.
Justin Kerns is the Immediate Past Chair for the KCHBA YPs. He is a fourth-generation homebuilder with Gary Kerns Homebuilders. Justin takes pride in helping people build their dream homes. On the national level, he serves on the NAHB Design Committee and the NAHB Custom Homebuilder Committee. In his personal time, he likes to go boating with his wife and daughter.
