KCHBA Participates in Roundtable with Federal Reserve Chairman

Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Jerome Powell was in Kansas City last week as part of his “Fed Listens” tour.

Following the Fed Listens event, United States Senator Jerry Moran (KS) invited Chairman Powell and Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City President Esther George for a roundtable discussion with banking, civic and business leaders from the Kansas City region to discuss the state of the economy in our country and economic outlooks in the construction, agriculture, manufacturing sectors.

Participating in the roundtable was KCHBA Executive Vice President Will Ruder, who had the opportunity to share the residential construction industry’s perspective on the KC housing market and the current challenges the industry is facing.

As the Voice of the Housing Industry in Kansas City, the KCHBA is the premier advocate for Kansas City area residential construction industry. KCHBA was honored to represent the members of our organization at this discussion and thankful that Chairman Powell, President George, and Senator Moran were so receptive to our message.
