HGTV Star Vern Yip Featured at Home Show-Fall Edition
This year’s Home Show Stage, sponsored by Spaces Magazine, will feature HGTV Star, Vern Yip who will share his eclectic design tips and meet and greet show patrons on Saturday and Sunday. The Home Show-Fall Edition returns to the Overland Park Convention Center, September 14-16.
One room at a time, Vern Yip is designing his way across America. Vern’s past HGTV projects include his own show titled Deserving Design with Vern Yip, and his current work includes the upcoming seventh season of the exciting prime-time series HGTV Design Star and the second year of HGTV Urban Oasis. He’s also on HGTV in new episodes of Bang for Your Buck, where he serves as both host and design expert. He’s also known for his four seasons on TLC’s Trading Spaces and appearances on NBC’s Home Intervention.
Vern runs his own design company in Atlanta, Vern Yip Designs and his vast array of design tips can be found on-line at vernyip.com. With an undergraduate education from The University of Virginia and an M.B.A. and Master of Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology, Vern has used his varied educational background to build a distinguished business. His creations and room transformations range in budget from the notoriously frugal showcased on television to eight-figure projects for high-end clients nationwide.
Regardless of the budget, Vern’s design calling card is his attention to detail married with precise, clean-lined interiors balanced with a sense of warmth. Many elements of his creations and eclectic style demonstrate an influence from childhood travels throughout Asia, Latin America and Europe. Often with Vern’s designs, less is more and something in the room always “pops” due to its graphic nature. In 2012, Vern’s design work will expand to include a new frame and home accessories line for the Burnes company that will be distributed to retail venues nationwide and his own signature brand, Vern Yip Home, will continue to expand at the Home Shopping Network.
Recognized on the street, in home improvement centers, and in public venues across America, Vern has been prominently featured in various publications such as Entertainment Weekly, People, The New York Times, and USA Today. He is frequently seen on television shows such as NBC’s Today, CBS’ The Early Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN and Live! with Regis and Kelly.
More details on Vern’s visit to the Home Show-Fall Edition will be announced as the date approaches. For more information contact Lori Kodanaz, 816-733-2217or email@example.com.
