Through a review of industry basic standards and the IRC requirements for the construction with masonry and concrete, this course will provide a detailed examination of the use and application of standards governing these fundamental building blocks of residential construction.

The course topics will include communication, problem solving options and ethical standards, while honing the skills necessary for building in compliance with the International Residential Building Code. This class is designed for residential builders, contractors and building inspectors.

This course will cover some of the background behind many of the changes and provide the participant with an understanding of the intent of the changes. The course is applicable to all aspects of the design, construction regulatory community, including contractors and design professionals.
