New Safety Resources for OSHA’s Stand-Down to Prevent Falls

Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 320 of the 1,008 construction fatalities recorded in 2018. Those deaths were preventable. The National Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country and gives builders and contractors a time to deliberately stop work to discuss fall prevention.

The fall prevention stand-down begins with a free webinar on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. The webinar will feature leaders from OSHA, NIOSH and the Center for Construction Research and Training. Register here.
