September 2024 Residential Statistics Report

Permit Report Graphic (Blue)Single-Family Permits Steady in September

The end of Q3 2024 left permits in a situation similar to Q3 2023 with 3,312 single-family permits issued so far this year compared to 3,004 issued by Sept. 30, 2023. Similarly, for the month of September 397 single-family permits were issued this year whereas 327 were issue in September 2023, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA).

The top five permitting cities in September were Overland Park (40), Kansas City, Mo., (39), Spring Hill (34), Basehor (28), and Lee’s Summit (27).
