July 2025 Residential Statistics Report
Permit issuance slowed in July, but the year-to-date total of 2,576 is still higher than 2024’s first seven months when 2,520 single-family permits were issued, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). This is a 2 percent increase from this time last year.
Olathe issued the most single-family permits in July with 54, followed by Kansas City, Mo., with 53, Overland Park with 29, Spring Hill with 25 and Blue Springs with 20.
