Single-Family Permits Up YTD
In August 2023, cities had issued a total of 2,677 single-family permits year-to-date. This year, the number of single-family permits recorded January through August is 2,908, a 9 percent increase, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA).
The top five permitting cities in August were Kansas City, Mo., (61), Lee’s Summit (40), Olathe (39), Overland Park (35), and Lenexa (27).
