June 2025 Residential Statistics Report
For the first six months of this year, 2,210 single-family permits have been issued in the eight-county region, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). This is a 5 percent increase from this time last year when 2,098 single-family permits were issued.
For the month of June, 61 additional single-family permits have been issued compared to the same time period in 2024, which is a 17 percent increase, and a 9 percent increase compared to May 2025.
Lee’s Summit issued the most single-family permits in June with 74, followed by Kansas City, Mo., with 38, Olathe with 29, and Gardner and Spring Hill both with 28.
