KCHBA’s Parade of Playhouses Featured on Fox4
Fox4’s Carey Wickersham spoke with KCHBA’s Jordynn Webster and students from Olathe Advanced Technical Center to learn more about the KCHBA’s Parade of Playhouses, which was held at Union Station April 1-6. In the news article, “Union Station showcases 13 playhouses designed by high schoolers,” Wickersham notes that “the kids had to frame, side, roof, and paint their masterpieces, and in the process, they learned many valuable lessons and skills. In fact, many of the students hope to go on to trade schools or construction management programs.”
One student who was interviewed said, “I learned a lot about teamwork and how not everybody’s going to be there 100% of the time and how you kind of have to work around that and then also just being able to work with different people also definitely learning about just how to build something that contains so much detail.”
