Ruder to Fox4: KCMO’s Lack of Plan B Is Frustrating

Fox4 KCMO outage 5.17.24

“The lack of your ability to pay your water bill online is probably a very significant issue. But on a day-to-day basis the overall impact of not only the water aspect but also the unavailability of moving forward on a project is impacting a smaller population, but to a huge financial degree,” Will Ruder, executive vice president of the KCHBA, told Fox4 reporter Jacob Kittilstad in a recent interview.

While Kittelstad’s news story focused on the inability for KCMO residents to be able to pay their water bills, he noted that another large swath of people impacted are people seeking permits.

“And I think a lack of a Plan B or a contingency that can be accurately communicated and easily understood I think is a source of great frustration,” Ruder said.
