Make48 Comes to KC with Emphasis on Women in STEM

Make48 is a 48-hour competition where teams are presented with a challenge and tasked to build a physical prototype, create a sales sheet, produce a 1-minute marketing video and pitch their big idea to a panel of judges. This year, Make48 is coming to the Kansas City Art Institute July 11-13 and the KCHBA and its Professional Women in Building Council are a sponsor. Women around the nation will form eight teams for the Make48 competition and will have access to expert tool technicians along with high-tech equipment to build almost anything.

Jordynn Webster, KCHBA’s director of community relations, will be a judge on Sunday, July 13. You can stream the Make48 competition on Roku.
