KSHB Discusses Home Prices with Ashlar Homes

KSHB Reporter Abby Dodge recently sat down with Ashlar Homes President Shawn Woods to talk about home prices, tariffs and the Parade of Homes. In the article, “Kansas City homebuilder creates affordable homes amid looming tariffs,” Woods explains there’s a lot of research on “where can we go and build a house that we can do it the most economically but also make it a place that people want to live.”

He also notes that in housing, “the best time to buy was yesterday. It doesn’t matter if it was a tariff, if it’s production issues or just demand. Housing prices are just continually going up. So you never can out-save price increases in housing, unfortunately,” said Woods.
