Key Energy Legislation Advances in Congress

The Energy and Commerce Committee recently passed important energy legislation out of committee. The North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act includes NAHB-supported energy code legislation that restricts Department of Energy requirements related to materials and energy efficiency products that builders use and offer.  This legislation promotes the development of efficiency targets for buildings that strike the proper cost-benefit balance, ensuring that home owners and builders are not burdened by unreasonable regulations.
