Single-Family Permits Up 19% in July, Up 10% for Year

Single-family permits in July increased 19 percent from the month prior, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). For the year, single family permits are up 10 percent compared to this time in 2023. The top five permitting cities in July were Kansas City, Mo., (60), Raymore (53), Overland Park (45), Lee’s Summit (40) and Olathe (24).
