Home Show Teams Up with Harvesters
Home Show attendees will have the opportunity to support Harvesters through a special offer, Sunday, March 25. With contribution of $5 or 5 non-perishable items, tickets will be two-for-one that day. Regularly priced tickets will be $10 at the door and $8 in advance.
As the region’s food bank, Harvesters collects and distributes food and household products through a network of more than 620 charitable organizations in our area. In fiscal year 2011, Harvesters planned to distribute 36.7 million pounds of food and grocery products to individuals in need, which equates to 28.2 million meals provided to families and individuals in need of assistance. Harvesters has become the community’s link between an abundant food supply and people in need. The 620 agencies in Harvesters’ network include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers and senior centers.
