HGTV Star Monica Pedersen

Monica Pedersen’s enthusiasm for her career as an interior decorator, lifestyle expert and television host is projected in all she does and she’ll be appearing at on the HBA Stage, Saturday and Sunday, March 24 & 25.

This self-taught designer and do-it-yourself enthusiast grew up in a world of home repair and remodeling, where she absorbed her father’s handyman skills as well as her mother’s talents with a sewing machine. While traveling the world as a successful fashion model, Monica was quickly educated in high-end design and textiles. Her passion for combining prints, pattern, and texture is present throughout her work. She openly admits to being a textile junkie, and says she is happiest when parked in front of her sewing machine looking at twenty yards of gorgeous fabric.

As a Designer on HGTV’s hit television series, Designed to Sell, Pedersen quickly became a trusted expert showing viewers how to add value to their homes while working within a tight budget. She encourages homeowners to creatively embrace their budgets. “Your budget will be your best friend when it comes to making design decisions. Celebrate it.”

Pedersen’s work as an interior design expert and television host can be seen regularly on HGTV’s Designed to Sell, Bang for Your Buck, Showdown, and HGTV Dream Home, with appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly, the Joy Behar Show, and NBC’s Today Show.

In addition, her designs and tips have been featured in national publications including Redbook, Town and Country, Good Housekeeping, InStyle, USA Today, Washington Post, Woman’s Day, Family Circle, Domino, and Chicago Magazine.
