HBA, Harvesters Partner to “BUILD UP the Food Bank ”

Harvesters Logo- smallThe HBA is excited to announce a new partnership with Harvesters during the 2017 Spring Parade of Homes! This year marks the 55th anniversary of the Spring Parade in Kansas City and to commemorate the occasion the association is aiming to raise 55,000 meals (which equates to $18,500) for area kids this summer.

Thousands of children across the Greater Kansas City area receive free or reduced-price meals during the school year. However, oftentimes those are the only meals they receive that day. Consequently, during the summer months when school is not in session, many of those children go hungry.

To help alleviate this epidemic, from April 14 until the end of the Spring Parade (May 7) the HBA will be accepting non-perishable food items at its headquarters at 103rd and I-435 as well as virtually through its website. You can also donate items at area HBA members retail stores and offices. (Contact the HBA for locations in your area.)
