Construction Suicide Prevention Week Moment of Silence
Sept. 9-13 is Construction Suicide Prevention Week, and beginning in 2024, the construction industry will come together in a powerful moment of remembrance to honor those we’ve lost and to re-commit to preventing further loss of life. The rate of suicide in construction is more than four times higher than the general population. KCHBA asks you to join Construction Suicide Prevention Week on Monday, Sept. 9 for one minute of silence during its nationwide stand-down to honor all lives lost to suicide.
WHEN: Sept. 9 at 1:50 p.m.
WHERE: Job site, office, anywhere!
HOW: Encourage participation on the jobsite or in the office by providing signs for workers to honor those they’ve lost to suicide. Click here to print sign. Let the KCHBA know you’re participating.
Submit photos from your moment of silence and/or people with their signs to maria@kchba.org. Click here for more information.
