Construct KC Training Program Featured on Local News

The local NBC station, Action 41 News, recently featured the Construct KC training program on its evening news. Construct KC is a 12-week training program for people in the Johnson County Corrections Adult Residential Center that gives them the tools and skills to begin careers in the residential construction industry. After six weeks of in-class, hands-on training, students spend six weeks of on-the-job training with employers. Those employers are reimbursed for 50 percent of the costs for that six-weeks of on-the-job training.
