MEET CHRIS

Chris’s journey into homebuilding started with family. Her father worked as a builder for a time near St. Louis, and she loved watching the business take shape. Years later, when her husband Roy became a realtor for new home construction, it felt like the perfect fit for them and their family to step into the industry together.

FROM STARTER HOMES TO LASTING CAREERS

They began by building starter homes for sale or rental. “If they sold, we would be builders,” Chris recalls. When their very first home was completed, all four sold within a week. From that moment on, they knew they were homebuilders.

THE JOY OF CREATING HOMES TOGETHER

For Chris, the best part of homebuilding is working alongside her family. Beyond that, what fuels her is knowing that each home they build helps a family achieve their dream.

“As a company, we can make the home build a smooth process for our clients and give them their dream home,” she says. “That’s the most impactful part of my job.”

A PLACE TO BELONG

To Chris, homeownership is about so much more than walls and a roof. It’s about freedom—the freedom to create a garden, gather with family or build a sanctuary that reflects your personality. If she had to capture homebuilding in one word, it would be enriching.

QUALITY ABOVE ALL

Chris and Roy’s company stands out because they are a true family-owned design-build business, now into its second generation. They guide clients through the entire process, personally attending every meeting and selection to ensure nothing is overlooked. That hands-on approach, however, comes with challenges. But despite the obstacles, their focus on high quality workmanship never wavers.

“The current regulatory conditions in the marketplace, hands down, are the biggest hurdle.”

FAMILY VALUES THAT CARRY INTO EVERY HOME

Outside of work, Chris treasures family traditions. One of her favorite memories is their annual fishing trip to Canada—a time to relax, connect and make memories together. It’s those same values of family, tradition and quality that Chris brings into every home she builds.
