April 2024 Residential Statistics Report

PERMIT REPORTJohnson County Leading in SF Housing Permits by Large Margin

Of the 352 single-family permits issued in the month of April, half of them (179) were issued in Johnson County, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). Jackson County ranked second with 76 permits issued in April, attributable to Lee’s Summit issuing 46 single-family permits.

Once again, Kansas City, Mo., did not make the top five of permitting cities in April. The top five permitting cities were Lee’s Summit (46), Overland Park (41), Lenexa (37), Olathe, (32), and Spring Hill (31).
